Zero excuses for Pets in Hot Vehicles

On an 80 degrees Fahrenheit day a car will reach 110 degrees in 10 minutes.  windows act to both absorb the sun’s rays and insulate your vehicle.

If you are out and about and you see an animal in a vehicle with the windows closed or hardly open, do no ignore the situation.  You can call the local Humane Society, Municipal Office for bylaw or the local police.

The Ontario SPCA has started a No Hot Pets campaign which encourages pet owners to pledge that they will not leave their pets in their cars in the hot summer months.
