Remembrance Day falls on a Sunday this year so it may be possible for you to take part in one of the many ceremonies being held throughout our great City of Kawartha Lakes either in person, by watching online or at least be able to be silent for 2 minutes at 11:00 am and contemplate all that Remembrance day is and what it means.
During Veterans week (Nov.5-11) the Government of Canada has put out a series of tales that shares the important roles that men, women and animals have played and continue to play in war. We want to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the sacrifices that continue to be made by all who serve, but we are especially for the animals knowing the kind souls that they are.
