What a fantastic fundraising season we have had at Kawartha. Between “Fundraise for Farley” in October and Pet Photos with our very own “Santa Paws” we raised $3826.15! We are so very fortunate to be part of such a generous, animal caring community. The photo included in this blog is from the Santa photos and includes Courtney Bryans from the HSKL. We hope that you appreciate our efforts and invite you to offer any feedback so that we can keep it fresh and fun for many more years.
We want to remind you that we will not be open for our regular business hours during December 24-January 2. We will be closing at 12:00 pm on December 24 and will remain closed until December 28. We will be open for regular hours from Dec 28 to the 30th. We will then be closed on December 31 until January 3. Should you require emergency veterinary care during these times we recommend Kawartha Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Peterborough, in the same parking lot as No Frills grocery on Landsdowne St. If possible call them at 705-741-5832 first or on your way so that they can be ready for you when you arrive.
One last thing to keep everyone in the loop, Dr. Susan Vetrovsky has finished her commitment with us during Dr. Bond’s maternity leave. Erin will be back to work bright and early January 3, 2017. We will miss Susan and her veterinary skills and wish her all the best and hope that we are able to keep in touch. We will also have a third veterinarian working in our hospital for 1 – 2 days a week. Dr. Lindsay Prior was a classmate of Dr. Bond’s and is happy to be able to help us on a part time basis.
Wishing you a very happy holiday and a healthy New Year!
